The lifetime powder coat finish warranty on the material is the same. What changes is the top rail. On a flat top run the pickets terminate cleanly on a straight top rail. On a lattice top run there is a second rail set above the picket line with a repeating lattice pattern welded in between. That gives the fence a couple more inches of visual height without actually adding privacy or reducing airflow.
